Masqueraders parading along
Parkside Ave. Fairmount Park
towards Memorial Hall. The
Parade begins at 1pm and
continues into the late
afternoon where the Festivities
Shift to the
Carnival
Camboulay at Wall Street Intl.
Another celebration
engaged in at this time but by
the enslaved Africans was Cannes
Brulees or Camboulay. It was a
patois translation of "Cane
Burning".
